Venue: Palatine Leisure Centre, St Annes Road, Blackpool, FY4 2AP
Date: Saturday 25th June 2022 13:00 to 17:30
The tournament started in 2003, being held in memory of a club legend Brian Walsh. Brian had been involved in club swimming & Water Polo in Blackpool for decades.
He represented his country, held various roles within the club and within the wider swimming & water polo family, for several decades up until he sadly passed away in 2002.
Each year, we invite several clubs from the Lancashire and wider northwest area to compete in a Water Polo tournament with the aim of raising money for charity.
Each year, a different club chooses which charity is chosen to raise money for. This year's charity has been chosen by Fleetwood and their choice has been Cancer Reasearch UK.
We will be hosting the tournament at Palatine Leisure Centre from 13:00-17:30 with an 'after event' with food and drinks at the Blackpool Light Craft Club on South Promenade immediately afterwards.
For those wishing to provide support we ask if anyone can donate a raffle prize, no matter how big or small. We make a large chunk of the events' income from our raffle so receiving donations is hugely important to our event. If you can donate a prize, please arrange to give your donation to Sean, Paul or one of the coaches who can pass it on.
If you want to come and watch the water polo or attend the event afterwards then please feel free to do so!!!
Below is a Go Fund Me link if you wish to donate any money to the event's charity.
